The Kamm Teapot Collection is large and comprehensive. The makers of all these teapots are loosely grouped into artists and manufacturers. The Artists Index includes artists producing unique works for galleries as well as architects and designers who create products for industry. Most artists represented in the Kamm collection are ceramists followed by silversmiths, which is to be expected given the teapot’s history of functional form. What may be surprising is the variety of artists who have approached the teapot as a sculptural concept. In broadening the collection, Sonny and Gloria Kamm have sought out images of teapots by painters, printmakers, and photographers. The Kamms have also pushed boundaries by commissioning artists who don’t make teapots otherwise.
The artists are grouped alphabetically by last name. If the artist’s work is on this website, their name will be hyperlinked to that object. Look for those names in a lighter shade.
