Eva Zeisel was trained as a ceramist and had a long career as a ceramic designer working for many manufacturers in the USA and abroad. She is known for her Museum dinner service produced by Castleton China in conjuction with the Museum of Modern Art. Another of her outstanding Modern works is the Town and Country dinnerware produced by Red Wing Pottery. Both these designs are represented in the Kamm Collection, along with Zeisel’s bird teapot. It also is characteristic of Zeisel’s streamlined organic shapes.
