Woodcarver Fraser Smith is known for his realistic sculptures that appear to be made of cloth. To achieve the effect, he uses colored dyes that stain the wood. See Smith’s amazing quilt sculptures and more at his website.

This teapot sculpture was commissioned for the Kamm Teapot Collection. Though made entirely of wood, it looks like a porcelain teapot covered in a fabric cosy.
