Meryl Ruth describes how she created this teapot.
“I fired a clay teapot which I had thrown on the wheel to the bisque-ware state. I used a water-soluble fabric and embroidered in various threads using the free-motion stitching technique. Afterwards I wet this fabric and placed it all around the clay teapot. I broke the inner teapot up and discarded these pieces. The result was a thin egg-shell like hollow all thread teapot.”
