Otto Lindig was a student at the Bauhaus and became a master potter and teacher. He ran the Dornburg Ceramics Workshop for the Bauhaus and operated it independently after the Bauhaus closed. He and his colleague Theodor Bogler pursued the integration of art and industry. They collaborated on designs and prototypes for manufacturing.
The Majolica Factory at Karlsruhe made this tea set from an Otto Lindig design. It was in production from 1929 to 1962. The Kamm Collection set also includes a coffee pot and six plates, cups and saucers.
