9.5 x 9.25 x 4.25″
Kamm Collection. 2007.696.2

This teapot is modeled as a Saguaro cactus, native to the desert in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. A vulture sits on top. According to Edward Bramah, Paul Cardew first produced this teapot in the late 1970’s. Some versions of the teapot are marked “Sunshine Ceramics 1987” for Cardew’s company name.  The Kamm Collection includes a second Cactus teapot that is signed by Cardew and dated 2003.
