Ceramist Paul Schreckengost worked as a designer and mold maker at the Gem Clay Forming Company in Sebring, Ohio. This pitcher is one of his best known designs. It is typical of the 1930s streamlined style of aerodynamic forms. The pot is spherical from the side but is shallow in depth. The ribbed detailing is accented with platinum metallic glaze.
