This sleek modern coffee pot is from a line of dinnerware designed by Raymond Loewy for the Continental China Company, a division of Rosenthal. The pattern is called Rhythm, and it was also produced in a charcoal color. See an entire set here.

Loewy is known as the father of industrial design. His output was prodigious, spanned decades and encompassed the range of design work. Loewy’s corporate logos and products became iconic: think Exxon sign or Coca Cola bottle. His impressive locomotive designs for the Pennsylvania Railroad in the 1930’s made Loewy’s name synonymous with the Streamline Art Deco style.
