This ermine ground teapot was made in Staffordshire, England in the 18th century. It is decorated in an overall black and white pattern that was used in heraldry and represents the fur of an ermine. The teapot features a color portrait of Frederick the Great, who was the King of Prussia from 1740 to 1786.
